Low Resolution Reflections is is both a performance piece and its digital twin. The piece sketches portraits of the artists – who grew up on online webcam chat sites – onto the stage. It is a grainy adaptation of the Narcissus myth and a study of the recurring desire for the performance of the self in both the tradition of art and online environments.

The starting point for the work was its makers' obsessive interest in self-portraiture and its tradition as well as a desire to explore the process of performance making through the lens of anonymity and randomness. Low Resolution Reflections imagines and imitates – it seeks to create an authentic copy of itself.
